My final project for my B.A. at Shenkar.
The project deals with the design of thought by language. At a time when people are using more and more visual means for their communication, I have chosen to examine verbal language. One can see the effect of the development of reality on the development of language. But it is only in recent years that the impact of language on reality has been explored. From the understanding that language shapes thought, and thought shapes reality, the project focuses on the language that shapes the thought.
The project consists of three videos, each of which presents a case study from rare tribal languages around the world, only a few thousand people speak each language. Each language has a different characteristic from the familiar languages, and it affects the behavior of its speakers or their worldview.
In the research process I analyzed the visual language of the tribes and developed a graphical language that characterizes each tribe. From the graphic language I illustrated the elements and created a font that reflects the nature of the tribe.
